A New Location in Wil, St. Gallen – A Display Case Becomes a Shop

With a great deal of planning and passion, our first permanent location has been created in Wil, St. Gallen. A display case becomes a shop, connecting physical presentation with digital shopping. Discover our products on site at any time and order them easily via QR code online.

A Decision That Took Weeks to Mature

Some ideas are born overnight, others need time. Our new permanent location in Wil, St. Gallen clearly belongs to the second category. For weeks we planned, discussed, discarded ideas, and rethought everything, and that is exactly what makes this moment so special. Because now the time has come: we have opened our first permanent location. A place that not only showcases our products, but also reflects our attitude, our creativity, and our joy in what we do.

For quite some time, we had been looking for new, innovative ways to make our products accessible. Alongside the many wonderful fairs and markets we attend, the desire for something permanent continued to grow. Something that can be discovered at any time. Something that speaks for us even when we are not there ourselves. The solution was as simple as it was bold: a display case treated like a shop.

In this display case, our real products are carefully presented. No samples, no mock-ups, but exactly what you would also find in our online shop. A QR code takes you directly to our webshop. Walk by, stop, discover, scan, order. A small interface between the physical and digital worlds, and that is precisely what fascinated us.

Finding the Right Location

After deciding to make our products permanently visible, the real work began. The first and perhaps most important step was choosing the right location. It quickly became clear to us that the spot had to be easily accessible. It should be somewhere people naturally pass by, a place where you don’t have to search deliberately, but instead discover something by chance.

After intensive searching, conversations, and careful consideration, we finally chose Wil, St. Gallen. A location that is easily reachable for many and offers exactly the environment we had envisioned. Once the right place was found and the contract signed, we could finally get started. From that moment on, an idea turned into a real project.

Now came the creative part, the part we were especially looking forward to. The display case had to be designed. Our goal was clear: a fresh, modern design that also reflects the layout of our website. Anyone familiar with Luxaverde should recognize us at first glance.

We chose a warm white background color that conveys calm and gives the products room to breathe. Wooden shelves add warmth and a natural feel. The lighting was carefully selected to showcase the exhibits perfectly without being intrusive. In the end, we all agreed: this combination conveys exactly the feeling we want to share.

From Planning to Hands-On Work

At some point in every project, planning ends and implementation begins. For us, that meant sourcing materials. MDF boards for the basic structure, paint, lamps, wood for the shelves, cables, screws, and much more. It’s astonishing how much comes together when you build something from scratch. What initially seems manageable quickly grows into a considerable list.

Construction began with gluing the MDF boards together. Step by step, the basic structure of the display case took shape. Once it was assembled, it was time for priming. This was followed by two coats of the beautiful white paint that gives the whole piece its calm, clean foundation. Each coat brought us one step closer to the goal.

After the paint had completely dried, the pre-cut shelves were installed. The wood fit perfectly into the overall look. At the same time, we were dealing with a topic that is often underestimated: wiring the electronics. Lighting, connections, clean cable routing, all of this requires time, patience, and precision.

Then came that one moment. The moment when we stepped back and saw the finished display case in front of us. Everything fit together. The many hours of work, the tinkering, sanding, painting, and assembling suddenly made sense. This kind of hands-on creative work is incredibly fulfilling.

The Big Day: Installation in Wil

Finally, the day of installation arrived. With a suitable vehicle, we transported the display case in two parts, along with the exhibition pieces, to Wil. Early in the morning, in the cold, but with even more anticipation. Once on site, the final assembly work began. Everything was put together, aligned, and carefully wired.

We also thought about the future: to save electricity at night, a timer was installed. Sustainability and responsibility are just as important to us as good design.

While we were working, passersby kept stopping. At first with curious looks, two people, a display case, early in the morning in the cold. But the further the installation progressed, the more curiosity turned into enthusiasm. Some people spoke to us, asked questions, and paid us compliments. These spontaneous encounters delighted us and confirmed that we are on the right path.

The crowning moment was arranging the exhibition pieces. At that moment, a project turned into a place. A sight you don’t see every day, and one that continues to bring us joy.

Gratitude and Outlook

At this point, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you. Thank you for your encouragement, your support, and the enthusiasm you show us. You are amazing, and you motivate us every day to keep going, to dare new things, and to turn our ideas into reality.
